Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist spots in the US and there are lots of good reasons for that. This city of sin appeals to travellers of all ages and backgrounds, all drawn to the lights, noise and excitement that this town deep in the Nevada desert holds.

Of course you can't go to Las Vegas without checking out the plethora of dazzling casinos. These houses of temptations are oddly spectacular and they are a must visit if you get to Las Vegas. 2) The sights

Arrive in Las Vegas and you will see stunning sights straight away. There are bizarre but brilliant resorts like Paris Texas, which includes a small scale Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Glittering hotels, palm tree lined boulevards, fireworks and flashing coloured lights will keep your senses guessing at what you will experience next.

3) The shows

From magic to lion taming you can see it all in viva Las Vegas. Here you wll never be short of a show to go and see so whatever kind of entertainment you enjoy you will find in this spectacular city. Famous pop stars have residencies at the top casinos so if you go you could see Celine Dion (if you really wanted to), or a rock band like Motley Crue. 4) The desert

Las Vegas is surrounded by desert on all sides but with all the glitz and glamour of the city you might forget about it altogether. You should make the effort to take it in though, because it is an impressive sight in itself. Take a cruise out in a hire car and enjoy the open road and the vast expanse of sand.

5) The people
